Located in the picturesque Hollywood Hills, the Graci Residence is conceived as a quiet Mediterranean-inspired, hillside village in the heart of a bustling Los Angeles. The sequence of tower elements at the entry is designed to welcome guests into the home by creating a decompression which is introduced slowly as diminishing volumetric experiences. At the entry itself an art gallery inspired space serves as an introduction to the guests and owner alike to the series of unique, warm living spaces beyond.
The backyard of the home is marked by small gabled elements marking each entry of the bedroom spaces along the pool. The Master Bedroom is the culmination of this sequence opening up into a large, barn-shaped space with exposed wood roof members taken from the original house.
