FACILITY FEASIBILITY STUDY

Fire Stations and Emergency Response Facilities

In June of 2025, the City of Glendale and the Glendale Fire Department hired DeWees Design to develop a comprehensive and detailed Facility Feasibility Study to augment a previous City-wide Facility Feasibility Study. The Scope of Work for the project was based on the following criteria:

Develop a Facility Feasibility Study to for the three Fire Station projects that were deemed the most critical.
The three Subject Fire Stations are:

Fire Station #26 – Brand Avenue

Fire Station #28 – New York Avenue

Fire Station #29 – Honolulu Avenue

The specific Scope of Work for the Study was based on the following criteria:

Conduct On-Site Field Investigations of all three Fire Stations.
Develop an Existing Architectural Program for all three Fire Stations.
Develop prototypical programmatic spaces.
Develop a Proposed Architectural Program for all three Fire Stations.
Develop Proposed Conceptual Site Plans.
Develop Floor Plan Diagrams.
Develop Conceptual 3D exterior images.
Generate Rough Order of Magnitude (R.O.M.) Construction Cost Estimates.

DeWees Design was charged with developing the Facility Feasibility Study under the auspices of the following City Departments:

City of Glendale Public Works Senior Project Manager.
City of Glendale Deputy Fire Chief
City of Glendale Public Libraries Director

The final Facility Feasibility Study was issued to the City of Glendale and the Glendale Fire Department in October 2025. The City of Glendale will use this Study in order to generate a Bond Measure that is scheduled to be put on the City of Glendale Election Ballot in November of 2026.
