Chevy’s – Prototype Concept

As part of their on-going relationship with Real Mex Restaurants in re-branding the entire Chevy’s restaurant chain, DeWees Design was asked to develop multiple conceptual exterior elevation treatments for a single prototype floor plan.

A series of storylines were developed for the each of the unique facades that told the story of how each restaurant evolved from different historic reference.

A Chevy’s restaurant was built in the former space of, “Joe’s Auto Body” which had been built next to an old Hacienda-Styled hotel.

An abandoned tortilla factory was converted into a Chevy’s as was an old concrete factory which had also ben converted from an old Hacienda-Styled hotel.

Each exterior concept was developed from the same prototypical conceptual floor plan allowing for maximum efficiency while maintaining a very creative conceptual imagery for the re-branding of the Chevy’s chain of casual dining restaurants.
