Fire Station #78 in Studio City was inspired by the historic church located directly across the street. The brick used for the church was repeated for the fire station and the white banding of the cornices were repeated in the fenestration of the windows of the fire station.
A clock tower, meant to reference the hose drying towers of old fire stations, serves as a public beacon for the surrounding community. The northern windows of the stair tower will contain an art piece made of stained glass celebrating the entertainment industries presence in Studio City.
Fire Station #78 was designed to achieve LEEDTM Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
