The Stereo Brewing Company project is the design of a permanent, raised outdoor seating and shade structure to replace temporary outdoor seating allowed during the Covid pandemic.
The Owners hope to provide a very social exterior space for the hot summer days where a water misting system will provide additional cooling and cooler fall evenings where a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs will provide warmth and will be the focal point of the space.
The design is based on the idea of a heavy timber structure with a metal decking saw-toothed roof form. The sloped roofing allows western natural light into the space while maintain the shade in the seating areas. Gutters and downspouts provide a rain-harvesting system for the new succulent garden located at the perimeter of the shade structure. Wooden beer crates with beer labels help form part of the railing and a small fire pit is located towards the rear of the structure.
