The Interior Architecture for the PPM Administration Building is based upon the idea of establishing an Interior Language that draws from the Architecture of the building itself. The clerestory roof faces due north, washing soft, indirect light into the open office area. The light monitor on the exterior of the building provide interior light wells that bring natural light into the perimeter offices.
Exposed structural steel roof trusses and light monitor stuctural supports as well as exposed metal ductrwork define the materiality of the interiors and further the idea that the Physical Plant Mangement Facility as a whole portrays an industrial aesthetic for the building which matches the industrial nature of the Corporate Yard. The interior materials and colors augment the exterior materials and color schemes while providing a comfortable and unique work environment while bringing the building together as a cohesive whole.
